Paddy (rice)
Paddy is flood-irrigated, so here the need is spraying: a 12x12 or 12x18 battery pump covers wet fields without a fuel engine.

Crop-wise advice
Main crops in Bhandara and what to use
Paddy (rice), Vegetables and Tur (pigeon pea): what we suggest for each.
Vegetables
Flat drip with 20-30 cm spacing under mulching paper saves water and cuts weeding. A 12x12 battery pump covers regular spraying.
Tur (pigeon pea)
Tur needs timely pest sprays at flowering; a 12x12 battery pump covers the field faster. Drip or rain pipe gives a life-saving watering in dry years.
