Paddy (rice)
Paddy is flood-irrigated, so here the need is spraying: a 12x12 or 12x18 battery pump covers wet fields without a fuel engine.

Crop-wise advice
Main crops in Bihar and what to use
Paddy (rice), Wheat, Maize, Litchi and Vegetables: what we suggest for each.
Wheat
Rain pipe fed by a lay-flat sub line pipe waters wheat evenly with less water than flood irrigation.
Maize
Flat drip or rain pipe for maize, and a battery pump for fall armyworm sprays.
Litchi
Online drip with drippers around each tree keeps litchi orchards watered through the dry months before fruiting.
Vegetables
Flat drip with 20-30 cm spacing under mulching paper saves water and cuts weeding. A 12x12 battery pump covers regular spraying.
