Paddy (rice)
Paddy is flood-irrigated, so here the need is spraying: a 12x12 or 12x18 battery pump covers wet fields without a fuel engine.

Crop-wise advice
Main crops in West Bengal and what to use
Paddy (rice), Potato and Vegetables: what we suggest for each.
Potato
Rain pipe or flat drip for potato ridges, and a battery pump for blight sprays.
Vegetables
Flat drip with 20-30 cm spacing under mulching paper saves water and cuts weeding. A 12x12 battery pump covers regular spraying.
